To all and sundry.
This is Coral, in a quick sign in to say . . . the second funeral in four weeks isn’t pretty. A girl I have known (not really well, but for quite a while) passed away after a battle with ovarian cancer. She was just nineteen.
Funerals on the whole are unpleasant, but may mine be as my best friend Cori’s . . . full of laughter and joy and tears and sorrow, all mixed together. This one was all cold and formal. Elizabeth wasn’t a cold and formal person. Her testimony wouldn’t have been stilted, it would have been rejoicing.
Cori and Elizabeth are both in heaven now, rejoicing in the presence of their Savior. May we all remember to pray for both the Tonkin and the Hopkins families, as the road ahead is a struggle.
May God hold them close to His heart.
