I am in my mid-twenties. I have an M.A. in Classics (Greek and Latin, not Robert Louis Stevenson and Charles Dickens) but work in computer software. I know, sounds crazy, until you consider the fact that my student loans are disappearing at a rate my unwanted pounds could only dream of. I live in a nice-sized city, and recently married the love of my life, with whom I spend all of my free time.
So why are you still reading? Beats me. I do read a lot, and I have enough opinions to feed a small African community (too bad that’s not one of the strong points of opinions) so perhaps you could stay a while if only to disagree vehemently with a review or add something to your library list.
A book that I suggest to everyone is The Sparrow, by Mary Doria Russell. It will break your heart, but it is the first novel that really spoke deeply to my spiritual life and hope.
If you want to know more about me, I don’t know where to tell you to start, because I’ve been blogging since before I had any right to (seriously, when you’re only nineteen, most of what you have to say is completely self-consumed and unreadable) and the whole shebang is available now, for the low low price of free. Don’t spend too much time in the archives, you’ll probably never read me again.
Hi nakiru,
I swung by your blog because I saw your comment on Zelophehad’s Daughters and I thought, “Hey, cool, another evangelical commenting on Mormon blogs!”
Turns out we have a shared interest in classics as well, though mine was just a BA.
You’re a very talented writer. Pleased to meet you.
